Who We Are Looking For


Toyota’s Parts Supply Chain Operations is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Logistics Analyst.


The primary responsibility of this role is to safely manage freight and returns throughout the logistics network using the highest quality processes at the lowest transportation cost (right pallet, right place, right time).


Reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Parts Supply Chain Logistics Operations department's objective to lead continuous improvement of Freight management processes/procedures across NAM (Governance) while incorporating a passion for innovation and process improvement into daily management cycles. Learning, teaching, and leading through PDCA, TBP, JKK, TPS and principals is a key element.


What You Will Be Doing


  • Oversee daily operations for over-the-road logistics providers to ensure on time delivery and freight recovery is in place.
  • Lead abnormal weather management contingency operations across North American production facilities.
  • Lead Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost kaizen activities driven from daily KPI management.
  • Process monthly cyclic billing for logistics providers and crossdock operations.
  • Work on-site at HCD (Huntsville, AL) to provide quick problem solving and support to our end customers.
  • Confirm monthly M3 shipping volume to stay within crossdock capacity.
  • Process monthly crossdock gentani to match plan vs actual productivity.
  • Set up timely expedite recovery for part recovery and returns management.
  • Oversee daily operations with crossdock providers, ensuring on time inbound unloading and outbound re-loading.
  • Lead & manage your functional job utilizing FMDS, Main Process Review, driving TBP and JKK into the daily supply chain improvement.


What You Bring


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to report out daily.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and meet cyclic deadlines.
  • Experience using data visualization software (Tableau or Power BI)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills using Access and PowerBi.
  • Relevant experience in supply chain planning or operations.
  • Project Management experience including schedule creation, coordinating activity with stakeholders, reporting, and executing a deliverable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – BS / BA or equivalent work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Mgmt., Operations Mgmt., Industrial Engineering Analytics.


Added bonus if you have


  • Experience using Toyota Logistics systems such as LIOS / FVM / TLMS / E-Kanban / OWK.
  • Proven demonstration of problem-solving principles such as TBP or 5 why analysis.
  • Over-the-road or rail logistics planning working experience in automotive or high-cost / high-volume environments.
  • Experience managing operations within the Toyota supply chain environment.
