Cisco Meraki is searching for an Import/Export Specialist to join our Operations team in Chicago! RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Run exception reports to track international courier shipments for each region (APJC, AMER and EMEA)
• Help customers, partners and other teams with documentation enquires related to international shipments. This includes generating documents manually on ad-hoc basis.
• Communicate with couriers and forwarders to ensure shipments are not delayed
• Support document changes for forward flows
• Reverse flow functions
• Verify shipping documents are uploaded to the document repository timely and help upload revised shipping documents for retention purposes.
• Help maintain and organize process documents
• Audit 3PL international shipments for export accuracy (i.e. label creation, commercial documents, AES filings, Pre-shipment Inspections)
• Audit 3PL international shipments for import accuracy (i.e. ISF filings, proactively checking shipping documents for errors)
• Aid our import operations and our global tax and customs team with cases
• Assist with our US duty drawback program
• Review export compliance holds and determine if further engagement from the team is required.
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements: (“Must have” Qualifications)
• 1-2 years of experience supporting high-volume exports and import/export operations
• BA/BS required with a degree in International Relations, International Business, Operations Management, or International Studies preferred
• Impeccable organizational, analytical, and communications skills combined with a mindset aimed at solving meaningful problems
•Advanced Excel skills required and preferred experience using a CRM and ERP system
• Knowledge of networking hardware and dual use strategic goods is a huge plus
