Logistics Specialist Jobs

As a Logistics Specialist you will play a pivotal role indriving strategic initiatives related to general cargo logistics. Yourresponsibilities will encompass building operational processes that supportprocurement, material management, and order management functions. You will beat the forefront of carrier interactions, estimation, planning, execution,reporting, analysis, and the implementation of digitalization initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Identify areas for process improvement to ensure a continuous enhancement of operations.
• Facilitate the implementation and utilization of SE LOG corporate tools, and contribute to the digitalization roadmap's rollout within GT - Richland functions.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of logistics and transportation processes and tools.
• Conduct market research and cost forecasting for internal customers, monitoring both domestic and international transportation market trends. Assist in integrating new service providers and technologies into the logistics portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify new logistics opportunities, encompassing modes, carriers, and equipment types.
• Provide strategic logistics support to the Grid Technology US business, offering your expertise in logistics concepts.
• Foster a logistics-aware culture, emphasizing cost and lead time optimization, tool implementation, and decision impact.

What You Bring:

• Self-driven and resourceful, capable of working autonomously and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated success and extensive experience in logistics project management, from preparation to the execution of various transportation modes.
• 6-10 years of progressive logistics and transportation experience in supporting global organizations or project forwarding/carrier operations.
• Experience in transacting and communicating with general cargo logistics service providers.
• In-depth familiarity with transportation and logistics-related documents, including preferential trade agreement documentation, letters of credit, manifests, rate cards, ocean bills of lading, and AWBs.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Sound knowledge of INCOTERMS and their application's impact on logistics operations.
• Profound understanding of domestic and international logistics regulations, security, and safety standards.
• Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time, both independently and within teams.
• Proficiency in SAP, MercuryGate/Transport Management System, Tableau, and similar digital platforms.
• Innovative mindset, creativity, and a willingness to explore and share new ideas.
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability to thrive in an environment with shifting requirements, schedules, and project priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders at various levels.
