Job Description
Summary About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support. Responsibilities Analyzes MRP identified exception messages to analyze the nature of manpower that may affect manpower and workload shortages/overages and discuss proposed or recommended actions with supervisor, division chief, or higher management as needed. Coordinates LMP data driven actions with Management Specialists, Production Control, DLA, B17, other sources of supply, and can also include vendors / OEMs to resolve parts or material shortages (standard and/or non-standard). Conducts LMP data driven research and communicates information back to the customer regarding supplies, materials (standard and/or nonstandard) that may affect equipment, manpower, and/or facilities requirements for potential or planned workload. Prepares daily, weekly and monthly material status reports considering status of work in progress, priorities and special projects, availability of materials (standard and/or non-standard), equipment, man-hours and technical data requirements. Monitors all indirect requisitions for material/supplies for Element of Expense (EOE) 2600. Leads analysis and tracking of open actions. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized Experience which includes: 1) Preparing reports concerning logistical support, Business and/or Program Issues; 2) Analyzing Business processes and functions pertaining to the logistics management maintenance enterprise resource planning; and 3) Presenting logistics management technical information to various audiences. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Communications Database Administration Research and Data Analysis Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
