Logistics Analyst- Domestic Jobs

We’re looking for new employees that want to be part of a very special, growing organization that works hard, has ambitious plans for growth and has fun doing it in a family-oriented environment!The Domestic Logistics Analyst is a new position created to support our rapid growth and expansion in domestic logistics.He/She will play a critical role in our organization’s talent pipeline and aggressive goals for growth over the coming years in our newest office located on the north end of Charlotte We will consider recent college graduates with no experience, as well as experienced candidates from Brokers, Carriers or Shippers. This is a hybrid position that allows a portion of the work week to be remote.

Responsibilities:

• Provides exceptional customer service through proactive planning, communication and follow-up, as it relates to all stages of a domestic shipment life-cycle.
• Responsible for managing all customer rate & capacity requests, i.e.- Spot Quotes, Special Projects or other general questions involving RCS’s domestic transportation capabilities
• Maintain strong working relationships with partner carriers & service providers, such as:Drayage,TL, LTL, etc to ensure proper balance of competitive rates, capacity/service and long-term partnership
• Assists in identifying, screening, and on-boarding new carriers in all modes to support the growth and development of the Domestic Logistics program.
• Work closely with Accounting Department to ensure trucking rates & billing are accurate and processed in timely manner;ensures all customer invoicing and payment is completed in accordance with SOP
• Primary point of contact internally for Customers, Domestic Carriers and RCS Internal departments with respect to all aspects of domestic shipment execution from rates, pickup and delivery, billing & invoicing, issue resolution, etc
• Ensure all areas of legal & DOT compliance areas are always met with utmost integrity & urgency
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our RCS TMS/Operational Systems to ensure highest standards of data integrity and downstream reporting
• Works closely with internal departments, such as:Sales, Key Account Management, IT, etc. to ensure all customer requirements are clearly understood and vetted internally in conjunction with RCS pricing proposals & implementation of new business

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong understanding of domestic freight costs, pricing structures and financial levers
• Understanding of applicable laws for domestic transportation, DOT regulations and other government requirements
• 1+ years of transportation experience working for customer, freight forwarder, domestic freight broker or domestic carrier is a plus
• Extremely organized, able to manage projects and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment while meeting deadlines
• High degree of initiative and self-starter; demonstrates willingness and energy to go above & beyond in existing responsibilities
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—collaborative, team player at all levels of organization andexternal customers

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Champion of project management and external customer service
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word;experience with MS Access is a bonus
• Experience with transportation services procurement and utilizing Transportation Management Systems
