Job Description

Are you passionate about the financial industry and have exceptional organizational and customer service skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Loan Officer Assistant. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide support to our loan officers and ensure a smooth loan application process for our clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct initial screenings of loan applicants, verifying eligibility and assessing creditworthiness.
  • Prepare loan application packages for submission to underwriting, following established guidelines and procedures.
  • Communicate with borrowers, answering inquiries and providing updates on the status of their loan applications.
  • Stay current with industry regulations and changes in lending practices to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to clients.
  • Coordinate loan closings, ensuring all required documents are prepared and executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in the preparation of loan proposals, presentations, and reports as needed.
  • Assist loan officers in the processing and documentation of loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collect and review necessary financial documents, such as income statements, credit reports, and tax returns, from borrowers.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date loan files and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with loan officers to analyze financial data and assess loan options for clients.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a loan officer assistant, loan processor, or in a similar role within the financial industry.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in using loan processing software and MS Office suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
  • Knowledge of credit scoring and financial analysis techniques is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of loan application procedures, documentation requirements, and lending regulations.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
