Basic Function
To assist a Home Loan Specialist(s) (HLS) coordinate the approval or disapproval of loan applications, including but not limited to, collecting documents, maintaining communication with borrowers, etc.
Responsibilities
  • Scrub files when contracts come in.
  • Must be licensed.
  • Perform pre-qualification assessments based on borrower’s financial profile.
  • Follow up on Loan Officer Prequals.
  • Send cards to prospects.
  • Send cards to listing agents on new contracts.
  • Disclose files when contract comes in/send team intro email for file
  • Research borrower’s qualifications for best program options.
  • Trouble shoot AUS on files.
  • Take applications when phone interviews are requested.
  • Price out and lock in loans/extend rate locks
  • Call clients who started loan apps and did not complete.
  • Compile financial data for clients to review for preapprovals.
  • Download and work up any online applications that come in online.
Qualifications

Education/Experience
  • Possess an understanding of different loan products, such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, non-conforming, etc.
  • 2-3 years of mortgage origination/sales experience required
  • Active NMLS License required
  • Computer proficiency required including MS Office; Encompass, some CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field required
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills
