This location will do the first step in manufacturing products that can be found in fragrances, adhesives, chewing gum, cosmetics, rubber and many other end products used by consumers around the world.

POSITION SUMMARY
DRT America is currently seeking a Loader/Unloader for our brand new facility located in Rincon, Georgia. The Loaders/Unloader will be responsible for loading and unloading bulk liquids to and from delivery vehicles; and maintaining proper controls over bulk liquid storage. The loaders will load bulk liquids into delivery vehicles using automatic pumping / transfer equipment, filtration equipment, monitoring control valves, meters, gauges and electronic data systems.
- Note: this is a day shift job with the opportunity to work overtime and weekends.
- Inspecting vessels for last product contained.
- Connecting loading arms/hoses.
- This position will be responsible for:
- Visually inspecting the containers to be involved in upcoming transfers in order to ensure that they are mechanically sound and there are defective equipment before loading or unloading.
- Completing loading and unloading records.
- Communicating with Production staff on any problems as they occur.
- Loading containers according to loading instructions and using gauges and/or strapping tables.
- Matching loading schedule to bill of lading.
- Ensuring that outages or innages do not exceed Department of Transportation (DOT) certification for the particular vessel being loaded.
- Disconnecting loading arms/hoses, inspecting for any leaks and completing required paperwork prior to releasing the container.
- Climb, bend, lift and perform a wide range of physical activities; including working at various heights including climbing various ladders and stairs to load containers, and work in various weather conditions
- Maintaining and cleaning work area at all times.
- Follow all plant safety guidelines and policies, which includes the wearing of fire retardant clothing and respirators (note: must be clean shaven at all times on the job and be able to pass PFT test).
- Working day shift, including some weekends, holidays and overtime.
- Ensuring that containers are positioned and secured at proper loading racks.
- Weighing containers prior to product transfer.
- Checking weight of container after loading to ensure that gross weight does not exceed regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a small team based environment
- 1+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment loading/unloading trucks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong mechanical aptitude/knowledge
- Must have the ability to operator equipment such as pumps, flowmeters, filters, utilities (water and nitrogen).
