Live Sound Engineer Jobs

Axios Rcrds is looking to bring on a Live Sound engineer to our San Angelo crew. We currently hold a residency in San Angelo at First Presbyterian Church and at times it is difficult to fulfill all special request dates (Such as funerals). So we would like to bring someone local on to help us in these odd occassions where the primary engineer may not be able to take the dates. You will report directly to the lead engineer for the contract. This may eventually turn into a more permanent gig in the future where you will work on a weekly basis.

POSITION PURPOSE: The primary focus of this position is to make a difference in the community and use your audio production skills to support an organization whose mission and purpose is to serve the body of Christ and the community of First Presbyterian Church. The ideal candidate would have experience working in a church setting.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Capable in all aspects of audio in a live production setting

Knowledge of digital and analog audio systems and networks as well as large-format digital consoles – experience with Dante preferred

Possess ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously and maintain schedule priorities when interrupted

Demonstrate a positive attitude and respect toward others, maintaining poise, patience, and effectiveness when faced with challenges or emergencies

Have integrity; demonstrate ability to be trusted and maintain confidentiality when necessary

Be teachable; have an accurate assessment of personal strengths and weaknesses and be driven to grow and improve performance and skills

Be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative

1-2 years of relevant experience required

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at times

Climb ladders; work on/reach equipment at different height and levels

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide a consistent high-quality live mix of involved services, practices and special events that complements the vision of the church

Provide fast and effective solutions to audio equipment issues in a prompt and efficient manner

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour with Experience

Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 with no experience dependent on technical ablility

Schedule:

• Night shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• 8 hour shift
• 4 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• San Angelo, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
