Linux Systems Application Engineer Iii - Remote

Everi is seeking to add a new Linux Systems Application Engineer to help deploy in-house and 3rd party applications into multiple environments. You will monitor, administer, and support those applications to maintain business continuity.

What Will You Be Doing?
Oversee the architecture, development, testing, documentation, and engineering support for key production systems
Work closely with internal teams to identify and troubleshoot in-house applications
Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to design strategic solutions and data services
Designs data verification methods, disaster recovery, and documents appropriately
Maintain knowledge of best practices relating to disaster recovery, vulnerabilities and patch management, databases, networking, and new industry developments relating to future infrastructure planning
Perform IT implementations, updates & patching, performance analysis and optimization, monitoring, problem resolution, upgrade planning and execution, and process creation and documentation
Suggest improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements
Provide regular management updates on advantages and potential opportunities for new technologies and automation
Monitor and maintain compliance: PCI, PII, SOX, and other jurisdictional compliance sta
Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise Needed for the Job:
Required Qualification’s
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management a related field, or equivalent work experience
5 years or more of experience maintaining Linux-based infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment
5+ years of experience in onprem containerization like Kubernetes, Kafka, Grafana
Previous experience with development, deployment, and support of in-house applications
Fluent in system design and implementation
Nice to have's
Experience in implementing and supporting Prometheus, App Dynamics, PowerApps, Istio Service Mesh, SolarWinds and Elasticsearch

The compensation for this role considers a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location at which the position may ultimately be filled. At Everi, it is not typical for all individuals to be hired at or near the end of the range; compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $98,600 - $120,000 annually.
