Overview


  • $1,000.00 Sign-On Bonus (Pre-Tax)***
  • $500 paid upon successful completion of 6 months of employment
  • $200 paid upon successful completion of your introductory period (90 days)

Responsibilities


Line Lead Position Summary


Responsible for training and mentoring Assemblers, as well as overseeing the assembly and packaging of medical devices. Line Lead also assists the Production Supervisor in maintaining good manufacturing practices and proper documentation. Line Lead also perform in-process and final assembly inspection, and issue components to jobs. The schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:00am-4:30pm and will be based out of our facility located in west Bloomington, Minnesota (55438).


Line Lead Duties And Responsibilities


  • Make suggestions for in-process, push/pull and quality improvements throughout the production process
  • Work leadership of at least 4-6 employees
  • Provide feedback and assist with Assembler employee performance reviews
  • Determine and communicate Assembler employees' job assignments
  • Record all required information on Sales Orders and review documentation for errors and completeness
  • Perform in-process and final inspection
  • Assist the Production Supervisor to ensure that all employees follow gowning procedures and practices in the clean room environment
  • Ensure that the products meet customer specifications
  • Move materials to and from the production areas including verification of Part/Lot/Quantity
  • Use ERP system to look up part information, transact part usage and generate reports
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Review, document and train production staff for assembly, manufacturing and packaging components to current manufacturing documents for the medical industry
  • Assist the Production Supervisor with setting up production lines and maintaining proper line clearance
  • Ensure products are handled and assembled per QTS Quality Systems Procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications


Line Lead Requirements/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Methodologies
  • Leadership experience
  • Knowledge or training pertaining to FDA, cGMP and ISO regulations
  • Able to work in a clean room environment, including working with chemicals as needed to clean work areas and components (Isopropyl Alcohol, solvents, detergents, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Operation of all tray, band and impulse sealers
  • Knowledge of PLM and ERP systems
  • At least 1-3 years of the following experience:
  • Able to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Assembly, manufacturing and cleanroom experience
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Proficient in math skills required to complete all manufacturing procedures
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of computer operation
  • Experience in instructing others through hands-on demonstration and clear communication
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • English language (reading comprehension, listening and writing)
  • Knowledge in assembly of all product families in the business unit
  • Knowledge or training pertaining to workplace safety and OSHA regulations
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills


Line Lead Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities


  • Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
  • Certificates
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to speak and understand Khmer (Cambodian language)
