Lighting Technician Jobs

JOB SUMMARY: To ensure and assume the responsibility of the safe and professional preparation, assembly, maintenance, and operation of the Bandit Lites, Inc. equipment provided and specified by the designer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Troubleshoot technical aspects of equipment and systems including repair and operation
• Assist other departments within the organization in preparation of each system in order to insure accurate design, configuration, delivery and operation of lighting systems
• Understand, abide and instill the philosophy, policies and procedures of Bandit Lites
• Ensure proper packing and loading of equipment
• Set up and tear down lighting system in a safe, timely manner following company standards
• Oversee assigned crew members and local labor
• Assist with equipment preparation and testing prior to and following transport to and from an event or tour
• Over see accurate equipment inventory for assignment throughout project to avoid unnecessary costs
• Provide lighting design and operate console at a high level when required to
• Report to Project Manager / Client Rep for duties as needed
• Read and Interpret CAD Drawings, Build Specifications and Equipment Lists
• Working knowledge of Bandit Lites touring equipment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma with 3 years related work experience.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS: Good computer and electronic skills

REASONING SKILLS: Ability to exercise and display good judgement and prioritize projects with supervision of the Project Manager. Must be self motivated.
