LIGHTING DESIGNER

ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING DESIGN

The Ruzika Company is a dynamic Design and Consulting Studio that specializes in Architectural Lighting Design and Theatre Design Consulting. The Ruzika Company has provided award-winning design consulting services for over 38 years.National and international projects include resorts, casinos, hotels, restaurants, retail centers, historic buildings, libraries, museums, residences, performing arts facilities, and theme parks.

JOB DUTIES

• Preparation of equipment schedules and equipment data cut sheets
• Preparation of Revit/CADD drafting as a collaborative member of the Company’s design team
• Assist with the coordination of multiple projects simultaneously throughout design and construction phases
• Work under the supervision of the Project Design Managers
• Assist with document management control
• Creation and production of visual image design concept presentations and graphics

EXPERIENCE

• AutoCAD (minimum 2 years architectural, interior design, or theatrical project drafting experience)
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Acrobat (high proficiency)
• AGI32 (advantageous, but not mandatory)
• InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp (advantageous, but not mandatory)
• Autodesk Revit software (high proficiency with architectural or interior design experience)
• Bluebeam (high proficiency)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Expected long-term commitment
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to learn new software easily
• Pre-employment testing assessment of Revit/CADD skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and collaboratively with multiple deadline pressures
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Must be fully eligible to work in the United States (permanent legal US work status)
• Associate Arts/Science, Bachelor’s, Bachelor of Fine Arts, or Master’s (foreign equivalent degrees considered)
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a design studio environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• For the right team member candidate, a remote or flexible solution will be considered
• Occasional travel for field surveys and project meetings
• Employees are required to work in-office 1-3 days a week
• Hybrid workplace model consisting of in-office collaboration and remote work
