Job Summary


This position exists for applying skilled technical expertise in the actuarial review and analysis, approval and disapproval, of a wide variety of submissions to the Insurance Division, including, but not limited to the most complex health premium rate filings and financial components of life insurance, annuity, and long-term care rate and valuation filings.

This position will assist in directing policy regarding life and health actuarial issues and engage with interested parties including consumer advocates and industry members.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Passed at least four examinations of the Society of Actuaries and have at least two years of general, professional actuarial experience.

Made substantial progress towards attaining the ASA credential through life and health examination process, along with having demonstrated plans to pursue the ASA credential.

Preferred Qualifications

Attained the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) credential

At least two years of experience pricing health insurance or analyzing asset adequacy or regulatory work in these areas.

Physical Requirements

Requires occasionally lifting such articles as file boxes and lifting and frequently carrying light objects such as files and laptop computers.
