Job Description

At NorthBay Health the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) responsible for delivery of direct patient care of assigned patients under the supervision of the registered nurse. The LVN, utilizing Jean Watson’s Nursing Theory of Caring and the Relationship Based Care Model, practices basic assessment (data collection), participates in planning, executes interventions in accordance with the care plan or treatment plan, and contributes to evaluation of individualized interventions related to the care plan or treatment plan in accordance with the functional and developmental needs of each patient. Performs other duties as assigned.


Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Licensure:

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Certification
  • Current California LVN license.

Experience:

  • One year's experience in acute care setting is preferred.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Interacts with patients, staff, and visitors in a pleasant, cooperative, and courteous manner.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Salary Range Min $34.67- Max $42.15 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
  • Generous differential for Night and Evening Shift
