Job Description

This Licensed Pratical Nurse position will provide Telemedicine support within the Family Medicine specialty for Morehouse Healthcare.
JOB DUTIES:
  • Sees that requested lab/tests are ordered, and results are sent to specialist and coordinates necessary follow-up appointments
  • Typically, has at least two years of nursing experience or is considered a Floor/Career Nurse.
  • Prepare patients to be treated by specialist using telemedicine (working at the presenting site).
  • Evaluates appropriateness of referrals and provides feedback to physicians and assesses willingness, ability to use telemedicine.
  • Provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit.
  • Treat patients using telemedicine platform.
  • Demonstrates competency in knowledge and skills of Telemedicine Nurse Case Management
  • Informs and updates physicians and staff of services available through telemedicine and encourages the use of the video-conferencing equipment
  • Work-up patients participating in healthcare outcomes project.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
A degree from a regionally accredited institution; Must possess a valid (LPN) professional license in the state of Georgia.
Experience:
2-4 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications
Nursing Telemedicine experience preferred.
