DESCRIPTION

The LPN is responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to our outpatients within the Medical Practice Division, Highland Medical. Within the scope of practice, assumes responsibility, as necessary, for the assessment, treatment and care of patients. Displays an understanding of the developmental needs of the patient when planning and implementing treatment. Displays competency in obtaining information, familiarity with medications, and processing of refill prescriptions. Works closely with the Physician and other members of the clinical team. May perform phlebotomy and/or injections for the patient and make patient callbacks with lab test results and diagnosis. New grads welcome! We provide a full orientation of training! QUALIFICATIONS
Education: HS graduate. Attended an LPN program from an accredited school required.
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience as an LPN within a Physician practice preferred. New Grads are welcome.
Training/Certification: BLS Certification
Licensure: NYS LPN License, Current NYS Registration
Other: Familiarity with using an electronic medical records system. Effective communication skills with patients and their family members,
Physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary health care team.
