Licensed Practical Nurse, Dermatology

The licensed practical nurse will focus on providing high-level patient care, problem resolution and triage over the phone in accordance with established policies, guidelines and practices and with a superlative, patient-centered attitude. Will work, as needed, in the practices, participating in the care of patients in a clinic setting by measuring and recording vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms and preparing patients for exams/procedures, assisting the health care provider with exam/procedures, providing patient support during exams, maintaining medical supply inventory and stocking exam rooms. Will also provide patient care by administering medications, processing patient phone calls per clinic protocols, instructing patients regarding health care and treatments, and providing health care provider with information pertaining to patient's health status. May be responsible for coordinating the workload of the nursing staff. May be required to float to other ACU clinic, as needed, for staffing.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Outstanding patient/customer service skills, verbal clarity, team focus and problem-solving skills are required for the ideal candidate.
• One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school or training program for licensed practical nursing.
• Person should display initiative and have the ability to multitask.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Must successfully complete medication test within 30 days of hire.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (CPR).
• Current licensure by the state of Florida as a licensed practical nurse (LPN).

Graduate of an accredited school or training program for Licensed Practical Nursing. One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred.
