Job Description

Administrative Assistant (Legislative Focused) - A top healthcare law and consulting practice in the United States is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team working within a Washington, DC law firm. This group consists of the most trusted advisors to government, not-for-profit organizations and private companies seeking to understand and adapt healthcare reform. The successful applicant will be bright, enthusiastic, ready to learn, and ideally have an interest in healthcare law and legislation.


Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of administrative support experience. The administrative assistant will be responsible for keeping team members on track with processes, policies, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, this position will have extensive contact with others (including clients) requiring discretion and will need to maintain a professional and courteous when dealing with others. Day to day job duties will include; extensive calendar management, scheduling (meetings, conference calls, travel arrangements, and events), time-entry, reconciling monthly billing statements, preparing and formatting documents, managing and tracking expense reimbursements and budgets, and supporting other team members as needed.


The consulting group is targeting candidates that are able to prioritize and meet deadlines, possess strong writing and research skills, self-motivated, and proficient in MS Office Suite. Applicants should be available to start locally in Washington, DC and will work a hybrid schedule to include four in office days and one remote day.
