Job Description
The legal assistant is a critically important role at our company as it requires supporting other team members ranging from attorneys to the estate planning paralegals. The legal assistant is responsible for many operational functions at the firm, and a primary function of this position is supporting the needs of our clients in pursuit of our mission statement. This position involves both client support as well as supporting the production department within the firm. Compensation
$17 - $18 hourly
Responsibilities:Complete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals Assist in estate plan production by providing paralegals with client information, managing client workflow within practice management software (MyCase), assisting with document reviewAssist in production department by preparing estate plan signing meetings for clients by ensuring all necessary parties are present, formatting and building the portfolio, and ensuring the meeting runs smoothlyAnswer phones in a polite and professional manner to assist with client matters.Attend estate planning signing ceremonies to ensure plans are executed professionally and timelyDrafting estate planning documents for paralegal and attorney reviewRepresent the company to new clients, trusted advisors, and professional colleaguesManage practice management software to ensure attorney and paralegal workflow is up to date and client files are organized with clarityQualifications:Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s degree is a plus Be a team player with a GROWTH mindset as this company needs team members who want to become leadersDress professionally everydayPossess strong writing skillsAbility to use software such as Calendly, MyCase, DropBox, Ring Central, Wealth Counsel, and other software used within the company to support clients and the Mission StatementPrior work in Law, Financial Planning, Banks, Hotel Industry, or Accounting Office is useful and preferred but not requiredAbility to work overtime from time to timeAbility to attend law firm events outside of regular working hours at night or on the occasional weekendWillingness to subscribe to a focused, positive, and intense work ethic/cultureAbout Company
