What You'll Do:
As our superstar Legal Assistant, you'll be the backbone of th eteam's operations. You'll work closely with our team of attorneys to provide exceptional support in First Party Property matters. From drafting legal documents with finesse to managing client communications like a pro, your skills and expertise will play a vital role in our success.
Responsibilities:
- Embrace challenges with a positive attitude and a problem-solving mindset.
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with third-party service providers, ensuring smooth collaboration.
- Become subject matter expert on all client quirks and preferences.
- Handle client communications with poise and professionalism.
- Scheduling meetings, appointments, and court appearances like a master organizer.
- Manage e-filing duties quickly and efficiently.
- Help maintain organized client files and records.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related experience and/or training in First Party Property litigation; or equivalent combination of education and experience with litigation.
- MS Office Suite Knowledge a must
- Aderant Total Office (ATO) knowledge a plus.

- Maintain attorney’s calendars.
- Scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, and inspections.
- Coordinating with judges, opposing counsel, clients, mediators, vendors, and other legal positions in case.
- E-Filing via E-Portal, E-Courtesy, and E-Service to opposing counsel.
- Managing Case Glide, Acuity, and Atlas portals to update clients.
- Handling incoming invoices
- Bills clients/ ensures billing requirements are met.
- Drafting correspondences to adjusters, clients, mediators, opposing counsels and judges
- Drafting motions and notices/ ensuring subpoenas are served, redacting and putting together documents for discovery purposes.
- Ensuring deadlines are met.
- Calendaring deadlines, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Opening and closing of a file.
- Other administrative tasks as requested by the unit’s paralegals and attorneys.
- 2+ years of related experience in First Party Property litigation and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MS Office Suite Knowledge a must.
- Must be comfortable in a fast paced work environment with changing priorities.
- Outstanding skills in proofreading and editing required .
- Aderant Total Office (ATO) knowledge a plus.
- Must have a superior attention to detail and organizational aptitude.
- Strong communicator comfortable interacting with leadership and clients is ideal.
- Can take initiative without much prompting.
- Experience with efiling a must.
- Strong multitasking capabilities preferred.
- Must be able to work in a technology focused environment .
