Job Description

The Leasing Consultant role is both a high-energy sales role & customer service. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing luxury apartment homes while building & maintaining member & employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives & a commitment to anticipate & exceed the expectations for our current and future residents.

The primary responsibilities of the Leasing Consultant are to lease & pre-lease apartment homes & to assist with resident & employee relations. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, results oriented, self-motivated sales professional. Duties of the Leasing Consultant may include, but are not limited to the following:

Job Functions:

  • Answer leasing calls and set appointments with prospective residents.
  • Tour the property with prospective residents, initiate effective sales presentations, and close on leasing suites.
  • Perform timely prospect follow up by utilizing creative marketing strategies (i.e. phone and email calls, thank you notes, and promotional materials).
  • Prepare applications and leases; verify employment and residency information on application
  • Compile move-in information and insure proper flow to appropriate parties. Administer orientation to new residents and assist with the move in process.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with Company policies and procedures, including Fair Housing and other laws pertaining to multi family living.
  • Participate and suggest sales promotions to increase occupancy. Attend educational meetings and seminars when available.
  • Communicate with residents in a professional manner, always making residents needs a priority.
  • Promote a high level of resident retention by establishing rapport with residents through a company contact programs, newsletters, resident appreciation programs, and resident oriented approach to serve.
  • Work as a team member with the Property Manager and Director of Operations in analyzing competitive advertisements, promotions and pricing; using this information to design marketing and advertising plans for the property.
  • Process work order requests called into the office.
  • Prepare weekly vacancy reports and submit to corporate office.
  • Maintain a comprehensive filing system of resident leases, correspondence and records in conforming to management requirements.
  • Adhere to all directives of the Property Manager and Director of Operation of the Management Company.
  • Participate in meetings, programs, and seminars relating to property management and laws governing apartments
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
