Lead Systems Analyst: Insurance Tech (Hybrid) - $100-115K

Austin Fraser is working with a long-standing client in the Insurance industry in their search for a Lead Systems Analyst with industry experience for their Austin headquarters office.

This is a hybrid position and requires 2-3 days/week on-site in the north Austin office.

Job Summary

This position will be part of an agile technology team supporting document management, enterprise workflow, correspondence, forms, and electronic insurance applications systems. This position will be involved in all areas of analysis including design, configuration, testing and implementation of new product and product changes within the system. This position has overall responsibility for analyzing, configuring and support the operations of multiple computer systems under the guidance of their team lead and the Director of Application Services.

Essential Functions

• Attention to detail, and ability to identify problems
• Work with business analysts and business partners to identify solutions to business needs within their responsibility
• Ability to review and understand the details, functions and life cycle of Life Insurance and Annuity products
• Works with senior technical leadership and vendors to establish and maintain appropriate design patterns and standards for solution implementation within systems of responsibility
• Provide 3rd level support for the operation of systems in production
• Analyzes and solves problems in multiple document, form and correspondence systems and assures technology meets the needs of the organization.
• Implements system studies to assist organization to realize maximum benefit from investments in vendor platforms and related business processes.
• Mentors, trains, and coaches other systems analysts on systems of responsibility
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
• Implement changes to approved solutions within systems of responsibility
• Review and understand existing system deployment, product configurations, and system design
• Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems.
• Analyze, document and present plans for system updates to implement new products, enhancements to existing products and business processes, and system defect remediation as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Salesforce experience desirable
• Customer Communication Management systems (xPressions, OpenText Output Server, Content Composer)
• Customer Relationship Management systems (Salesforce, Dynamics, Pipedrive, Active Campaign)
• General understanding of software development and scripting languages, and there use in the application of discrete logic, including Java and JavaScript
• SDLC processes and frameworks, including traditional project management and agile development processes
• Enterprise Content Management systems (OnBase, Documentum, FileNet, Docuware, Zoho Docs, etc)
• Hyland OnBase experience desirable
• XPressions and Content Composer experience desirable

Education & Experience

• 2+ years Life insurance experience/knowledge preferred
• Bachelor’s degree Business Technology or similar degree required
