Role: Lead Scrum Coach
- Improve the efficiency of the development team.
- Provides continuous education to the scrum team on agile methodology.
- Continuous sprint planning decisions based on the technology associated with the technology needed to deploy a successful product.
- Ensures the scrum team completes the work they commit to.
- Forecast the numbers of scrum deliverables possible in an iteration, which is based on evidence and reliable source.
- Stakeholders and business processes needed to navigate to remove roadblocks for the team.
- Support discussions around risk decisions and mitigations for resolutions.
- Coordinate and facilitate all agile events making sure the team is working smoothly and every team member has the tools to get their work done efficiently.
- Understand stakeholders and business processes
- Facilitation techniques are adjusted when necessary to meet the needs of the scrum team and product owner.
- This position must be collaborative and adaptable in their leadership style to work in tandem with Product Owners. For example, Product Owners vary in personal style and preferences regarding how sprint sessions run. Must remain flexible to ensure a collaborative relationship with the Product Owner.
- Managing Conflicts: The Scrum Master has the responsibility of managing internal conflicts within the Scrum team and sometimes external conflicts that arise from external stakeholders. It is expected that the Scrum Master also has the skill to deal and resolve personal issues that may occur within the scrum team.
- Provide and communicate backlog tracking, monitor burndown charts and product metrics, forecast velocity, and oversee the flow of work related to tasks associated with each requirement (user story).
- Remove product impediments while continuously negotiating with the product owner throughout the product development life cycle.
- Must be aware of resource changes throughout the scrum process.
- Time-boxing: Keeping the scrum activities under a defined time is one of the biggest challenges a Scrum Master faces. It is the Scrum Master's job to ensure that the specific scrum activities stay within the scheduled time frames.
- Remove impediments.
- Determines the latest improvements to the associated development processes as identified by the team and develops strategies to move to these newly designed improvements.
- Manage scrum team conflicts while keeping the product on track within the agreed-upon budget.
- Influences upstream, that is to upper management and leadership across the business to ensure the progress of agile transformation/journey is not interrupted.
- Works in conjunction with the scrum team to determine prioritization of process changes and timelines.
- Continuous negotiation decisions are needed throughout the development lifecycle.
- Experience with DevOps and/or automation;
- Experience with Identity Management/Access Control;
- Certifications in SCRUM;
- Expert understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and practices;
- Advanced experience using Microsoft AzureDevOps to plan and manage sprints, develop forecasts and reporting (burndowns, etc.);
