Job Description

Job Duties

  • Setup and maintain pricing, cost, and all cost factors, including Overhead and G&A Rate development.
  • Perform as the cost volume manager and lead the development of simple to complex cost and price proposals. This includes cost modeling, price-to win analysis, cost narratives, graphs, charts, appendices, and ensure cost volumes are compliant with the solicitation.
  • Remain current on FAR, CAS and contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), and Time and Materials (T&M).
  • Interface with various internal departments to obtain and develop data necessary for developing prices or other components of a cost and price volume.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure all data related to costing and pricing is readily available for financial measurements, business case development, and financial budgets.
  • Ensure the integrity and ongoing maintenance of centralized pricing data and the synchronization of data across multiple systems.
  • Conduct cost and price analysis consistent with the standards and guidelines set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure that cost and price proposal components are accurate and responsive to solicitation requirements.
  • Gather market pricing information, monitor the competitive landscape, and use this data to develop recommendations for competitive response.
  • Recommend cost and pricing strategies and develop Price-To-Win goals; participate in bid / no-bid decisions.
  • Develop models that address Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quote (RFQ) requirements to assess any financial impacts of various pricing decisions.
  • Provide education and training programs to ensure compliance and promote industry best practices; represent department in projects and strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Participate in business development capture meetings; utilize Shipley or similar, Price-To-Win methodology and participate in all color reviews for cost, technical, and management volumes.
  • Research and report on market activity related to pricing while staying informed of industry trends and technology to ensure continuous improvement in the support of business goals.
  • Provide insight and leadership to develop YRCI’s pricing capability; i nitiate, develop, and implement new cost and pricing policies, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and structures.
  • Facilitate pricing reviews and provide pricing guidance to proposal and capture teams.
