Background:


Kent, Campa and Kate Incorporated (KCK) is a federal contracting company that provides professional services to Government Agencies. We are currently seeking candidates for a Data Analyst III position located in Arlington, VA.


Position Summary:


The Data Analyst III supports the The Educational Delivery Systems Division (FSI/EX/EDS) at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) located in Arlington, VA.


The Educational Delivery Systems Division:


  • Manages the online Learning Management System (LMS) and collaboration software in support of FSI’s role as a government-wide Tier 1 Cyber Security service provider, and also supports the Diplomatic Security Training Center (DSTC) and regional training center programs;
  • Provides administrative and technical support for a variety of Department and government-accessible training web sites to include Joint State U.S. Aid Solution (JSAS), Tier 1 Cyber Security eTraining;
  • Designs, develops, tests and implements eLearning products such as Distance Learning courses and mobile training applications for the Department and other agencies;
  • Manages the Institute’s official training delivery systems to include application and database design, web site design and help desk staffing;
  • Coordinates the implementation and support of multimedia learning applications (such as Adobe Connect) for Department of State training programs. Provides capabilities for training evaluations such as the FSI Centralized Evaluation System, and 360 surveys.


Requirements:


  • Experience with Qualtrics;
  • Education: Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Highly proficient in the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Experience with general data analysis tasks--identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends; acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases; filtering and "cleaning" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct problems; developing and refining ad hoc reports; and identifying and prioritizing business and information needs;
  • Experience with data visualization methods and approaches;
  • Familiarity with software or tools used for business analytics, data analysis, and visualization such as Tableau, PowerPivot, Powerbase, Access, or Visio;
  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience in an office or professional setting; Three (3) years of relevant professional experience in data analysis or data architecture with specialized experience in business process improvement and implementation of data analysis processes and procedures is required.
  • Experience working with large data sets to distill information and present to all levels of organizational leadership.


Working Duties (including, but not limited to):


  • Conducts data analysis to answer standard or recurring inquiries and identify trends, correlation, and other relationships in data sets;
  • Creates supporting materials for analysis projects (assumptions, briefings, handouts, written documents, user guides, etc.);
  • Provides data integration by linking data from multiple sources to conduct organizational analysis;
  • Develops, updates, and applies data models to generate reports and analysis to inform stakeholders;
  • Conducts detail-oriented tasks and analysis projects independently with minimal supervision;
  • Develops metrics to identify trends in training and other integral data.
  • Retrieves, validates, formats, and organizes a variety of data from many sources;
  • Works across various stakeholders to understand data trends, sources, and analysis goals and connect data to business processes to obtain a deeper understanding of potential considerations and assumptions;
