Lead Medical Assistant, Surgical Practice

The Lead Medical Assistant has excellent communication skills and the ability to listen and lead is an important asset to the team member. The Lead Medical Assistant must have the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of patients and have the ability to multitask, take initiative to complete job duties in a timely manner, and perform routine clinical and administrative tasks to keep the office of the physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently. The Lead Medical Assistant will also be responsible for mentoring new and existing employees; overseeing competency assessments for the clinical staff; and assisting providers, practice management and administration in evaluating and implementing enhancements to protocols and processes that improve patient care and outcomes. The Lead Medical Assistant will also administer injections as needed, take vital signs, assist providers during examinations and perform other related duties to ensure the safety and well-being of patients being evaluated and treated in the practice.
