Core Responsibilities
  • Supports the testing team and business users in validating that the programs meet the requirements.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Functions as a liaison between the client, community and internal information technology and/or external software vendors to develop system solutions to processing systems or business problems.
  • Creates clearly defined and mutually agreeable success metrics for each new system or process and establishes a plan to track, monitor and measure the success of those metrics.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Provide technical leadership within Business Information Systems, responsible for ensuring correct billing for Comcast customers, and for responding to requests for information from Comcast leadership and other departments to support decision making.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract and analyze subscriber and billing data from data warehouse and data lake environments using ETL software.
  • Outline potential areas of risk and develop a sufficient control.
  • Ensures data quality and integrity across data-specific application implementations.
  • Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
  • Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Interacts closely with a matrixed cross-functional team, both field and corporate, in order to secure alignment and solution excellence.
  • Leads/owns direction of the project(s) with limited guidance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Automate jobs using shell scripting and Python within a Linux operating system.

Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Salary:
National Pay Range: $71,132.87 USD-$166,717.67 USD
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
