Laundry Aide Jobs

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team. As a Laundry Aide, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry items are properly cleaned, sorted, folded, and delivered in a timely manner. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and laundry products to remove stains and odors
• Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness in the laundry area
• Sort and separate laundry items according to color, fabric type, and care instructions
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, such as washing machines and dryers
• Assist with the delivery of clean laundry to the appropriate areas or individuals
• Check and treat items for stains and damages before laundering
• Inspect and fold cleaned laundry items, ensuring they are properly sorted and stored
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and inform the supervisor when additional supplies are needed
• Load and unload laundry machines, ensuring proper weights and settings are used

Qualifications:

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents and adjusting machine settings
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Physical stamina to lift, push, and pull heavy laundry loads
• Knowledge of laundry equipment and laundry products
• Prior experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred
• Ability to understand and follow care instructions for different types of fabrics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
