Landscape Supervisor Jobs

The Landscape Supervisor is responsible to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Landscape Services team at the assigned facility. This is a working Supervisor position.

Scope
Supervises the team accountable for the appearance and maintenance of the assigned facility's landscape, grounds and parking areas.
Job Essentials
1. Oversees and contributes to facility's ground and landscape appearance.
2. Identifies and coordinates team member assignments according to landscape or seasonal needs.
3. Responsible for irrigation management to include the design and installation of irrigation systems, tracking and adjustment of irrigation application for optimal plant and turf growth and water conservation.
4. Develop schedules for fertilization and control sprays. Responsible to supervise a logging and tracking system for restricted class pesticides. Performs proper application of insecticides, herbicides, and other control products.
5. Plans and procures plant materials, tools, equipment and supplies. Oversees related contract services for optimal schedules and quality of work. Schedules janitorial functions for site cleanliness. Utilizes all resources in a cost effective manner to provide safe, clean and attractive landscape environment.
6. Plans and develops all landscape additions and improvements.
7. Leads in the recruitment, selection, development and evaluation of team members.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years experience in landscape design and maintenance

Demonstrated strong working knowledge of area plant culture, fertilizer, herbicides and water utilization.

One year supervisory experience with excellent problem solving skills.
- and -
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to provide clear direction to staff regarding assignments, policies and deadlines, etc.
- and -
Demonstrated ability to withstand exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree.
Utah pesticide applicator's license.
One year experience working with greenhouses

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$22.38 - $34.06
