Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Pleasant Grove, UT for an Estimator at TERRAFIRMA LANDSCAPE LLC. The Estimator will be responsible for creating project bids, reviewing project specifications and requirements, conducting site visits, and communicating with clients, vendors, and team members.

• Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, pricing, and technologies to ensure competitiveness in the market.
• Cost Monitoring: Track project costs throughout the duration of the project, identifying and addressing any deviations from the initial estimate.
• Project Estimation: Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for landscaping projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit bids and proposals to clients, including detailed breakdowns of costs, timelines, and project specifications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure project goals are met and budgets are maintained.
• Site Evaluation: Conduct on-site evaluations to assess project requirements, analyze site conditions, and identify potential challenges.
• Vendor and Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all project estimates, bid documents, and correspondence.

• Experience in landscape design and construction estimating
• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with hardscaping (e.g. retaining walls, patios, water features) is a plus
