The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department’s (OTRD) mission is to advance the exceptional quality of life in Oklahoma by preserving, maintaining, and promoting our natural assets and cultural amenities.

OTRD is seeking a part-time Laborer to provide guest assistance at Roman Nose Golf Course in Watonga, OK. The hourly wage for this position is $10.00.

Basic Purpose

Perform a variety of unskilled to semi-skilled manual labor for the golf course.

Typical Functions

• Required to weed-eat the grounds as needed.
• Responsible for picking up trash around the golf course and emptying trash cans on the golf course.
• Responsible for locking up the maintenance barn, cart barn, and lock entrance gate each night.
• Responsible for topdressing the greens.
• Responsible for picking up trash, fueling & cleaning the golf carts as needed, and greasing/washing the equipment as needed.
• Responsible for the flower beds around the pro shop and cart barn including the removal of weeds, trimming the bushes, and keeping the flower bed mulched.
• Responsible for cutting and trimming trees.
• Required to water the golf course as needed.
• Responsible for picking up the driving range balls.
• Remove trash from golf carts, fill up sand bottles, replace bag straps, fuel carts, wash carts, and park golf carts.
• Pull carts out of the cart barn each day for golfers to use.
• Responsible for parking, cleaning, and securing golf carts each day.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for mowing the greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
• Performing equipment maintenance as needed.
• Responsible for keeping the cart barn clean.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Competencies

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
