This position is responsible for a variety of tasks within the manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions Include

• Operate a lift truck, power, or air tool to accomplish designated tasks.
• Performs general housekeeping within production facilities.
• Helps maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assists operators in production when necessary.
• Responsible for adherence to all company policies, including, but not limited to and the use of personal protective equipment, other health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential to this position.
• Performs tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, organizing, etc. as needed.
• Reports all problems that may inhibit the production of a quality product to the immediate foreman and/or supervisor.

Supervisor Responsibilities

This position has no direct reports.

Overall Responsibilities

Duties are labor-intensive and repetitive. Applies and develops basic skills in procedures appropriate for the position within the assigned functional area. Works under the direct supervision and from detailed verbal and/or written instructions.

Knowledge, Education, And Experience

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience is required. At least two years' experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. General knowledge of the production process is valuable. Must have strong communication skills working within a diverse population.

Mental And Physical Requirements

Must be reliable with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to gather and record the necessary information, follow through with assigned tasks, identify problem areas, and take corrective action within a timely manner. Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under high-pressure situations.

This position performs in a warehouse and factory environment. It is subject to hot and cold temperatures; wet and or humid conditions; loud noises; moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration.

This position may require working outside of normal business hours. Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast-paced, high productive work environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Ability to differentiate colors and shades of colors. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception.
