Laborer I Jobs

ADB is seeking a Laborer I to join our wireline team and provide basic level manual laborer. This position will assist in the installation of fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects. This is an ideal position for someone looking to start their career in the utility construction industry. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Trains alongside experience construction crews learning fiber installation, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, etc.
• Loads and unloads materials and equipment in from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites
• Safety is the expectation, always follows the required safety practices while performing safety sensitive duties
• Performs other position duties when requested
• Supports the setup and shut down of utility construction projects including traffic control in various conditions including highways, side streets, parking lots, downtown locations, etc.
• Provides basic level laborer functions including hand digging with a shovel, setting up traffic control, learning equipment operations, placing fiber, loading materials, etc. on various safety sensitive utility construction sites
• Assists in identifying hazards by utilizing the pre-task process
