Laboratory Aide (Full Time 100% - Evenings) Clinical Lab - Adena Health System

The Laboratory Aide provides support for the department including ordering, receiving and distribution of laboratory materials. This position assists pathologists with autopsy procedures, prepares microbiological media and laboratory solutions and performs instrument maintenance and record keeping for specific instruments. This position has access to confidential financial and patient information. It does not have patient care or access to funds.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Performs to the pathologists satisfaction the duties of morgue diener
• Manages and distributes laboratory inventory to ensure the daily availability of materials for the operation of the department
• Accepts all other duties and responsibilities as appropriate to skill level and as assigned
• Delivers laboratory materials in a timely and efficient manner to outside agencies
• Ensures a safe working environment according to regulatory standards
• Professionally manages the reception process including; proper phone etiquette, timely and accurate handling o messages and answering general inquiries

Minimum/Required Qualifications

• (Preferred Experience) Laboratory experience or materials management experience
• High school diploma/GED
