Labor and Delivery Nurse
Maternal Clinical Nurse Educator-Pharmaceutical-Device
Amplity has an exciting opportunity for a Labor and Delivery Nurse to join a team of pharmaceutical/medical device nurse educator team. Reporting to the Amplity Nurse Program Director, the Clinical Educator will be responsible for education of current and potential clinicians, providing them with clinical education of our pharmaceutical client's device. The Clinical Educator will partner closely with our client's sales team educating/demonstrating/in-services with the Labor and Delivery team.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support hospitals, birthing centers and local educational organizations in executing PPH drills or simulations.
  • Collect and communicate customer insights to inform development of effective customer education tools to enhance safe and effective use of the device.
  • Execute and deliver HCP and education plans in close partnership with members of the Sales team to support achievement of Company’s goals
  • Assist with appropriate patient identification in targeted healthcare settings.
  • Work toward meeting established program metrics, complete all administrative responsibilities consistent with Standard Operation Procedures and departmental guidelines including but not limited to required training, field activity documentation, expense reporting and other assigned tasks.
  • Adhere to all regulations, and Code of Conduct.
  • Participate in and complete successfully all internal education / training on SOPs, policies and relevant products, as well as all compliance training and regulatory education relevant to the medical device industry.
  • Be responsible for educating HCPs on the safe and effective use of our client's device, including didactic presentations and hands-on training of device insertion where applicable.
  • Comply with all Amplity Policies and Procedures, along with all Organon Policies and Procedures as required.
  • Be a clinical expert in our client's system including device details, procedural technique, troubleshooting and outcomes of clinical studies, as well as the full treatment algorithm for atonic postpartum hemorrhage and abnormal postpartum bleeding.
Position Requirements:
  • Possess valid driver's license at all time
  • Active nursing license (practicing or non-practicing) in good standing.
  • Proof of Covid Vaccine at the time of hire is required
  • Ability to cover various shift hours including early morning or late evening
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel is needed
  • Clinical background with a strong preference in obstetrics and gynecology
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • At least two years clinical or industry experience such as field based medical, clinical educator, device
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work successfully with a commercial sales team.
  • Strong time-management, project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Labor and Delivery experience
  • Flexibility, willingness, and desire to work in a small, fast-paced environment.
