Job Description
Job Summary: The lab technician is responsible to perform the quality control testing of the soils, aggregate, and asphalt as well as report test results to the lab supervisor. Help with equipment calibration.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Sample HMA at hot plants and projects.
  • Perform data filing and quality assurance sample storage.
  • Responsible to input tracking data into the lab database.
  • Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
  • Be able to calculate and report through computer programs.
  • Maintain insurable driving record.
  • Sample aggregates at pits and projects.
  • Visualize, fulfill and implement the company vision and core values.


Lab Testing Requirements


  • Aggregates-Sieve, SE, FF, FE, fine aggregate angularity and others.
  • Asphalt-Ignition, gradation, rice theoretical, unit weight.


Skills And Abilities


  • Preferred to have WAQTC: asphalt, aggregate and density
  • ACI
  • Develop knowledge of scales, shakers, ovens and sieves.
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Knowledge of aggregate products and industry quality standards.
  • Nuclear safety training for portable gauges.
  • Ability to safely move up to 70 lbs.


Education And/or Experience


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
