WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an experienced L3 WMS Advanced Support Engineer with a passion for IT systems in the supply chain space and a focus on warehouse management systems to join the Nike Technology organization in North America Technology Operations as part of the Advanced Production Support team. Nike Technology brings together technology and process expertise into one streamlined, consumer- and customer focused team. We deliver one-stop, integrated process and technology solutions that enable Nike, Inc.’s businesses and brands worldwide. You will be a key member and contributor of the North America Technology Operations support organization and accountable for leading Advanced PS resources in the Warehousing Management capabilities.

The person in this role will be a member of a team of technical level three analysts and engineers. The ability to build positive relationships with technology vendors and internal technology teams is required to be successful. You will drive current incidents to resolution and find workarounds and permanent fixes to problems in our Warehouse Management Systems space. You will also operationalize new deployments and features to ensure they can be supported to the highest level.

Passion for serving the consumer through technology and processes is critical, and we're looking for people who will bring the consumer drive approach and voice support for that across the team.

The ideal candidate should think and work tactically daily and must possess a service orientation with the ability to listen and communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all levels of staff across the company.


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you will:

  • Provide Advance Production WMoS support for multiple Nike DCs in North America
  • Develop partnerships and works closely with business team members to understand and document day in the life and usability requirements through storyboards, wireframes, user interface specifications and other documentation
  • Build integration context diagrams and associated systems process models to aid in clarity
  • Work closely with Business functional analyst and business customer to ensure information and integration requirements are clearly understood and resolve any conflicts
  • Craft and maintain paper prototypes, User Interface (UI) storyboards and UI specifications by working closely with functional analysts and Business team members

- Participate in crafting the organization, navigation, and the look-n-feel of the UI for the application in collaboration with systems/functional analysts and Business team members

  • Define test scenarios based on business processes and may participate in integration testing when needed
  • Conduct usability User Acceptance Tests (UAT) with business teams
  • Drive decisions by working with remote groups (i.e. other vendors, other NIKE facilities or departments) to gather and detail strategic and tactical requirements from the business
  • Coordinate and communicate functional requirements of business unit and technical solutions with IT capability resources by designing and documenting advanced functional specs
  • Review and approve that the system design meets business process requirements
  • Communicate and document system changes to the business
  • Consult on standard process configuration of systems
  • Communicate project status to management and the business
  • Coordinate and perform sophisticated testing activities including validation of test results


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As a member of the Advance Production Support team for North America at the 10th ranked Supply Chain company in the world, you will be filling a meaningful role in our Fulfillment & Logistics organization. You will partner with multiple technology teams, business partners and third-party vendors to ensure our Warehouse Management Systems are available and stable. You'll get to work alongside truly dedicated people and help them improve their performance by promoting collaboration and innovation.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • Technical understanding of Distribution Centers
  • Expert level experience in Manhattan WMoS configuration and fixes
  • Advanced level WMoS Production Support experience
  • Advanced level experience in common DC functional flows
  • Expert level PL/SQL programming/query knowledge
  • Intermediate level Unix Scripting knowledge
  • Advanced level experience with different software interfaces with WM systems
  • Experience with being responsible for and performing sophisticated testing activities, including validation of test results
  • Experience consulting on standard methodologies for configuration of systems
  • Intermediate level experience with technical management software like ServiceNow/JIRA/Version One, etc.
  • Expert level abilities in SDN and software change management processes
  • Experience with WM add on solutions like LMS/TMS/Robotics/Slotting/WCS integration, etc. is a huge plus
  • Experience communicating critical, high-risk, sophisticated and/or multi-functional technical design and solutions to executive management inside and outside the organization
  • Experience reviewing and approving that system design meets business process requirements
  • Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams, and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical IT teams
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with third party vendors
  • Excel at prioritization of multiple sophisticated, concurrent projects under timelines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think quickly and perform problem-solving tasks during crisis or constantly evolving conditions
  • Experience with IT Service Management standard methodologies. ITSM (ITIL) certification a plus
