The Payroll System Admin (UKG Kronos) serves as the System Administrator, SME and key point of contact for the timekeeping system including day-to-day system maintenance support. This position is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the timekeeping environment, integrations, and business processes. Responsibilities include facilitating the research, development, documentation, and re-engineering of timekeeping business processes. This position is responsible for the Kronos system configuration, ensuring data integrity through audits and report writing into the timekeeping software Responsible for triage/mitigate/research any system/integration issues impacting payroll processing. This includes correcting and finding solutions and being a liaison with internal stakeholders and vendor support if necessary.

What You'll Do
- Create functional/technical specs, business process mapping, SOPs and system admin process documentation to ensure best in class controls for timekeeping and payroll processes.
- Provide support to business partners in researching and resolving system issues and exception handling. Open and manage service requests and emails with Kronos as needed.
- Partner closely with IT to align systems configuration with the IT infrastructure, data mapping and integration in accordance with IT change control, information security and compliance standard operating procedures as well as presenting changes to QA CAB committee.
- Serve as Kronos system administrator which consists of planning, business process mapping, requirements gathering, integration, design, configuration, integration, and implementation.
- Create and manage test plans, coordinate, and conduct user acceptance and functional regression testing of new and enhanced Systems functionality and reporting tools.
- Conduct business process re-engineering to identify opportunities for improvement, and making appropriate recommendations; ensuring processes are optimally aligned and that they follow industry standards
- Performs routine maintenance to system configuration and lead implementation and upgrades.
- In depth functional experience with Workday/Kronos preferred, technical experience a plus
- Ability to balance the demands of projects, maintenance and support, customer expectations, and staff development in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
- Ability to communicate business needs to technical people and to communicate and simplify complex technical information for non-technical users
- Ability to draft routine correspondence and manage information and data in a confidential and professional manner
- Understand state compliance rules for time calculations as well as absence plans
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of and ability to use MS Office Suite products
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
- Bachelor’s in finance or related field
- 4-6 years of experience working with payroll systems such as Kronos, ADP or Workday with responsibility for setup and maintenance. This includes working experience with Kronos doing configuration and administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficient in writing Kronos and ADPR reports
