What will the Kitchen Assistant do?
  • Service as a substitute when the Employment Specialist is not present for the day
  • Quickly and efficiently prepare food
  • Read senior center menu
  • Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Read and understand labels and instructions, particularly regarding food safety and food hygiene
  • Serve lunch and dessert to all seniors
  • Wash dishes, pots, and utensils
Qualifications and education requirements
  • High School Degree preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year preferred in the food industry
Preferred Knowledge
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong sense of urgency; self-directed
  • Ability read and understand labels and instructions, particularly regarding food safety and food hygiene procedures

Physical Demands
