We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Software Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Software Engineer at Patterned Learning, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions. This position is open to candidates based in the United States or Canada and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about software engineering and want to kickstart their careers in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and test software applications
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure successful project completion
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using various programming languages and technologies
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
• Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
• Debug and troubleshoot software defects and issues

Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with software development tools and frameworks
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Projects or internships showcasing your software development skills
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and techniques
