Junior Software Developer Jobs

Mighty Distributing System of America (MDSA, LLC), is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join the team. MDSA, LLC is a franchisor of sales and services in aftermarket auto parts, is headquartered in Norcross, Georgia. Job Summary
Software Developer will have a fully cooperative relationship with all information technology personnel, departmental and office personnel, agents and vendors. The position will require knowledge and support of all the Mighty technology offerings, but the primary responsibilities will be to develop, create, modify, test and support specialized applications for Mighty’s franchise environment and other systems as required.
Job Duties

• Production support and troubleshooting as needed
• Assist with 3rd party application integration
• Java EE development, Servlets, JSP, Web Services, Standalone Application
• Maintain and support existing applications
• Quality Assurance support
• Frontend development: HTML5, CSS, Javascript (frameworks: VueJS, ES6, Prototype, jQuery)
• Assist Senior Developers with all aspects of software development.
• Analyze, design, develop and maintain existing Databases

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of programming languages, databases and the software development lifecycle. Be a self-motivated, quick learner, able to independently learn and grow needed skills and be able to take direction and education from senior developers. A good combination of communication, customer service, problem solving, and technical skills is required. Some specifics include:

• Proficiency in communicating business requirements to technical audience is required and non-technical audience is desired
• Working knowledge of Microsoft and Linux Operating System is required
• Working knowledge with Integrated Development Environments such as NetBeans, Eclipse and IntelliJ Idea is desired
• Experience with Application Frameworks including Spring Boot is desired
• Proficiency with relational database such as PostgreSQL and MySQL is desired
• Experience with MicroStrategy, Microsoft Dynamics, EDI, wholesale operations and/or the automotive industry, is a plus.
• Experience working with Java EE development and some or all of the following: Servlets, JSPs, JDBC, Web services, HTML, Java Script, CSS and XML is required
• Experience working with Web Servers, Apache Tomcat application servers is desired
• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures is desired

Experience
2+ years of Application development.
Educational Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is strongly preferred with at least two (2) years of experience to perform the specialized job duties noted above.
