Job Summary


Alluvionic is seeking a Junior Project manager to support internal, commercial, and government contracts with a focus in engineering. This could be an opportunity for a career move into project management for someone with transferable skills OR a great way for junior PMs to specialize in particular industry/sector.


  • This is an on-site position.*


Salary Range: $ 50-75k yearly

The Junior Project Manager performs, but is not limited to, the following duties:


Note: The PM needs to be prepared at all times, given reasonable notice, to present and discuss with management the status of project activities. The PM shall continuously monitor the technical, cost and schedule performance of the contract(s).


Responsibilities:


  • Establishes and maintains liaison as required with boards, committees and commissions.
  • Use methods and metrics for assessing the schedule, technical and quality performance of the work, and risks of this program.
  • Provides management advice and assistance to department management and personnel.
  • Coordinates schedules of staff and other interested parties.
  • Use procedures for relating costs and risks to schedule and technical performance, to assess the impact of risks and costs on successful completion of the work efforts. As the point of contact on assigned projects, performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating and managing multidisciplinary technical review teams.
  • Responds to inquiries about projects.
  • Facilitates and troubleshoots the myriad of problems associated with complex systems or with coordinating and development, and design projects.
  • Assists in developing departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Produce the schedules of work that reflect and track the delivery of products.
  • Chairs various project review and pre-submittal meetings.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field; project management or engineering field preferred.
  • Manage change and project acceptance procedures.
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to successful implementation.
  • Ability to identify and negotiate schedules, milestones and resources required to meet project objectives.
  • Willing to travel.
  • MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Must be eligible for U.S. Secret level security clearance.
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations, guide conflict resolution, work effectively in a matrix environment and build strong relationships.
  • Ability to estimate, coordinate, and deliver project deliverables.
  • Use of Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Communicate major milestones, provide continuing direction to the project team, and conduct regular status meetings to review project activities. Track and monitor the project financial health.
  • 1-3 years experience in Project Management or related field.
  • Manage and promptly escalate issues and risks.
  • Must have excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, planning, facilitation, leadership and time management skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, CMMI experience
  • Background in government services, product development, and engineering.
