In Schwab Cybersecurity Services (SCS), Office of CISO, we provide platforms, services, and security operations capabilities which enable the firm to produce successful client and shareholder outcomes securely and safely. Securing our IT assets, data, and access to applications is the core of who we are and what we do. We ensure only the appropriate entities have access to IT resources and that we implement proven approaches and standards to ensure a safe and congruent environment is maintained.

The Product Management Center of Excellence organization within SCS has an opportunity for a Junior Product Manager to support its product(s) roadmap. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the Lead/Principal product manager to define and support product enhancements and strategies; to advance the firmwide product's vision to improve employee experience, and reduce the risk in the organization through sustainable, efficient, and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a liaison in product as the voice of the customer, develop relationships with technology and business teams and perform deep dives into certain pain points and challenges within the product services to develop further understanding of needs (i.e., Cloud platforms, Secrets Management).
    • Lead/assist product/service owners with requirements gathering and analysis
    • Assist/validate that complete technical and business requirement are gathered and use cases developed

  • Ensure alignment of product features and stories, draft user stories, participate in agile development process, and prioritize user stories to meet strategic goals
  • Assist in the product's business metrics, including cost, feature & functionality, risk posture and reliability
  • Assist in the creation and maintaining the product's definition and artifacts including product canvas, product roadmap, strategy, and vision for the product
  • Assist in driving an ambitious and clear product vision and product strategy
  • Have direct input in developing and communicating ‘the story’ effectively to critical stakeholders.
  • Have direct input into the product strategy, including prioritizing features and integrations, setting release dates, maintaining roadmaps, developing change management and adoption plans, and end user communications

You will be part of The Product Management Center of Excellence organization with the following Primary Services Focus: Provide Product Management services, lead Product Strategy Roadmap to align to STS (Schwab Technology Services) / SCS (Schwab Cybersecurity Services) OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), support and collaborate on work alignment & prioritization, adherence to process and best practices, and partner coordination in agile adoption.

What you have

  • Product management experience in financial services, cybersecurity experience and / or exposure within the cybersecurity environment is a plus
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate compelling vision and strategy and translate that to an actionable roadmap
  • Ability to adapt with emerging platforms and technologies through new and evolving cybersecurity trends and demands, changing customer trends, among other influences.
  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills and ability to track multiple deliverables with minimal direction, instinct, and drive to collaborate, seek knowledge, and drive outcomes.
  • 2+ years product management experience
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels of the organization
  • Ability to present to Sr. leadership in a coherent and logical manner
  • Confidence presenting and tailoring messaging to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership
  • Enjoy being an inspiring leader who naturally challenges the status quo
  • Experience with reporting/dashboarding tools like Tableau and Grafana
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience with SAFe and agile tools like JIRA
