Job Description

**PAYING UP TO $125K TOTAL COMPENSATION**


A Proprietary Trading firm based in Chicago is looking for a new Desktop Support Engineer to support their end users and maintain the reliability of their global trading network.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Resolve IT support requests from employees relating to Windows, MAC OS, and Linux operating systems
  • Handle physical setup and installation of hardware
  • Install and update new software and hardware drivers
  • Maintain Linux and Windows servers
  • Maintain security tools & applications
  • Perform Windows and Active Directory administration tasks - including: user/group administration, group policies, patch management, and security permissions on files and users
  • Diagnose and repair hardware, operating system, and software issues
  • Maintain inventory for all hardware
  • Maintain Windows laptops & Apple MAC laptops
  • Automate tasks and recommend new hardware and software solutions
  • Create and maintain documentation of systems processes
