Junior Designer - Burnalong

Description/Responsibilities:

Burnalong – an online health, wellness and fitness platform that provides immersive online programming and personalized experiences – was recently acquired by Tivity Health to accelerate digital transformation, support diverse populations, and address chronic disease. This is an exciting step that will allow us to combine capabilities and continue empowering people with solutions that create healthier, happier, more connected lives.

We are looking for a Junior Designer to join the Burnalong team. The ideal candidate can create high-end graphics with a playful edge and is eager to contribute and learn in a collaborative environment. You’ll work on developing and producing a variety of design projects including collateral (digital and print), infographics, case studies and ebooks, social media assets, custom illustrations and animations, video, swag, and branding assets.

Fluency in design tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro) is essential. If you have a strong willingness to learn, we want to hear from you!

You will work with our designer to partner with a variety of teams including marketing, customer success, events, and product to portray our unique brand and help us refine our visual identity. The Junior Designer will have the opportunity to work at a fast-growing start-up with a talented and passionate team. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and print materials for events such as booth materials and swag
• Translate information into visually stimulating and highly branded typography, illustrations and infographics
• Design slide and event decks to be used by sales, customer success, and marketing teams
• Lean into storytelling to create short videos featuring our products
• Create mockups using product assets and maintain version control
• Assist with collateral updates and designs (digital and print) such as flyers and postcards
• Prepare social media and web assets that capture the audience’s attention
• Work closely with the designer to bring to life new designs and animations of our mascot
• Collaborate and support the design and marketing teams in developing creative design solutions from conception through implementation that support the brand strategy
• Craft new templates for emails and newsletters, and provide images and gifs as needed

Qualifications:

• A positive, eager-to-learn attitude, with a passion for helping others #LI-JB1
• Experience in Adobe Premiere Pro creating Audio and Visual Effects for video
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames, but willingness to learn through collaboration
• 4 years of design experience (may be educational experience) with a strong art portfolio, demonstrating well-rounded knowledge in design principles and techniques, composition, typography, illustration, and layout
• Experience creating basic animations in After Effects
• Fluency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Powerpoint, Google Slides, and desire to learn new programs
• Effective project management, organization, and communication skills (written and verbal) with a strong ability to take direction in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Asana is preferred.
