Work you'll do
Deloitte is looking for a junior data engineers to support the development of analytical data stores on the cloud. The mission of the program is to modernize the legacy ecosystem into a modern scalable tax processing and data platform. The data platform is envisioned to be on the cloud (AWS) and will be used to support extensive business analytics and self-service capabilities. The team is looking for consultants with the following skills:

• Ability to translate business requirements into data engineering requirements for building cloud based data solutions

• Understanding of solution design, data architecture and design, data models

• Core Consulting Skills, Good Technical writing skills, Client Management Skills

• Skilled in creating power point presentations

• Understanding of cloud based data technologies would be helpful but not required

The GPS Analytics and Cognitive (A&C) offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.
Qualifications
Required:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• 2+ years of experience with data engineering
• Bachelor's degree required
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role (public trust)
• 2+ years of professional experience

Preferred:

• Ability to translate business requirements into data engineering requirements for building cloud based data solutions
