We're looking for a Junior Control Systems Engineer in Jacksonville, FL or the nearby area to join our team! This position will focus on managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.
The target annual base compensation range for this position is $60,000-$100,000, based upon relevant qualifications.
General Job Duties:
  • Performing onsite pilots, testing and demos as needed
  • Performing GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems
  • Consulting with and training end users on new applications
  • Assisting in project development and planning
  • Designing, developing and implementing solutions to resolve customer issues
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:
  • Basic understanding of Electrical Schematics
  • Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting
  • Preferred - minimum 2 years of relevant working experience with:
    • PLC Programming: Schneider Modicon, Allen-Bradley, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Schneider Electric, and Siemens
    • Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting
  • Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)
  • Telemetry experience preferred (GE MDS)
  • Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions
  • Excellent level of general computer technology knowledge, from gSuite and MS Office to TCP/IP configurations and more.
  • PLC Programming: Schneider Modicon, Allen-Bradley, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Schneider Electric, and Siemens
  • Willing and able to travel (this position requires independent travel to customer locations)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable) or Associate’s Degree with 2 years’ experience. An equivalent combination of experience and training will also be considered.
  • AutoCAD or Drafting experience
  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • Acute attention to detail and process
  • Experience with industrial application programming languages
  • Preferred experience:
    • AutoCAD or Drafting experience
    • Telemetry experience preferred (GE MDS)
    • Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)
