Omega is looking for a Junior Buyer that will be part of the team that is involved with the purchasing of parts and materials for our products.

Tasks include:

• Conduct clerical duties as requested.
• Check requisitions and purchase orders for completeness and clarity. Obtain necessary missing information where required.
• Provide materials support by coordinating and scheduling material purchase orders based on production needs.
• Perform or assist with any Supply Chain operations, as required, to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
• Work closely with Production to process customer orders as quickly as possible.
• Assist Quality in obtaining RMA # from suppliers and address delivery issues through Non-Conformance Requests (NCR)
• Expedite and follow up on material orders.

Job and Skill Requirements:

Establishing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures and Processes within an established ISO13485 quality management system

• MRP/ERP use, contract review & negotiating, supplier audits, ISO 13485, Lean, GMP, and winning in low volume high mix production environment.
• Negotiating, crafting, and managing formal supplier agreements and buyer memos to meet operational goals (productivity improvements, consolidation of supplier base, and assuring high quality).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Qualifications:

• Capable of supporting multiple projects at a time with competing priorities.
• Highly organized, with attention to detail.
• Advanced in using an ERP system.
• Team player, self-motivated and gets stuff done
• 2-4 years of proven success developing Supply Chain and Production Planning strategies.
• Excellent verbal, written, and technical skills.
