JUNIOR BRAND DESIGNER


The role

L.A. Vibrations has an opening for a Junior Brand Designer on our remote and distributed team. As a Junior Brand Designer you'll work on projects spanning branding, digital design, campaigns, packaging and more.

L.A. Vibrations is the marketing agency umbrella of parent company L.A. Libations, a next generation beverage incubator. At L.A. Vibrations, we work with new and emerging beverage brands to help launch, scale and optimize brands, covering strategy, branding, ecommerce, digital, retail, trade & field marketing.


You will:

  • Manage art files and packaging mechanicals for core products and cases. Sync creative assets to digital assets management system.
  • Work closely with the entire creative department to produce marketing assets, across email, social media, retail assets, and other ad hoc projects
  • Create and apply meaningful design systems to support strategy and consistent brand identity.
  • Design eye catching and clear decks for internal and external purposes
  • Have a comfortability around challenging yourself and your team to make the smartest (not easiest) decisions.
  • Research creative trends in competitive markets
  • Create and modify existing 3D renders

Cross functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (strategy team, retail team, sales team) (Packaging Development, Product Development, & Marketing) to ensure designs are meeting brand guidelines and project objectives. Review production samples from existing print vendors. Evaluate creative from partner agencies to ensure all designs align with brand standards.
  • You are plugged into brands today and what’s new and interesting in the world in general and have a desire to explore, experiment, try new things, fail sometimes, and try again.


BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Experience in CPG is preferred.
  • Strong portfolio of design work, showing solutions to business problems through effective design and examples of product packaging design.
  • Experience in the food industry is a plus.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE)

  • Strong work ethic and personal accountability.
  • Must have a proficient understanding of print and postproduction processes.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible.
  • Working knowledge of rendering software is a plus (Esko or similar).
  • Working knowledge of Illustration is a plus.
  • Ability to clearly present design ideas and concepts for campaigns and projects.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, Acrobat, Keynote, Microsoft PPT, Word and Asana (required).
  • Experience working with packaging engineers for implementation of designs and transfer of visual assets.
  • Excellent understanding of visual and communication design principles.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Expert ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
